Nanclares y Prieto Blanco 2024 is a white wine produced by the Nanclares y Prieto winery within the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin. This monovarietal Albariño is sourced from 67 different vineyards located in various localities of the Val do Salnés. The vines range in age from approximately 15 to 90 years and grow on granitic-sandy soils known locally as “xabre.” The elevations of these vineyards vary between 5 and 700 meters above sea level.
The grapes are gently pressed, followed by fermentation in 2,000-liter tanks under controlled temperature conditions for 36 hours.
The wine is then aged for 8 months on its lees in a combination of 5% French oak barrels and 95% stainless steel tanks. It is not racked during this period, and bâtonnage is performed every 3 months.
