Werlitsch Welschriesling Von Opok White 2023 is a white wine produced by Weingut Werlitsch in the Styria (Steiermark) region of Austria, specifically in the Kalkmergel subzone, located in southern Styria along the Slovenian border.
The wine is a single-varietal Welschriesling sourced from vineyards planted on limestone soils.
The grapes are fully destemmed before being pressed and spontaneously fermented with native yeasts in open 3,000L oak vats, where the wine also ages on its lees, partly in 300L barrels, for 18 months.
Unfiltered, unstabilized, and unfined wine.
