Alex&Maria Koppitsch 2023 Red Wine

Alex & Maria Koppitsch Tinto 2023 is a red wine produced by Alex & Maria Koppitsch in the Burgenland region of Austria. The wine is a blend of Saint Laurent and Zweigelt. The vineyard soils are very rich in nutrients due to flooding from the nearby Danube River.

The wine undergoes controlled aging in a combination of stainless steel tanks and acacia barrels, which contribute more subtle notes and do not overpower the always delicate Zweigelt.

The grape varieties are blended for a short period prior to bottling. The winery is deeply committed to biodynamic and sustainable practices.

Alex’s family has been making natural wine in the area for over 500 years, and since 2011, Alex and Maria have continued the family legacy.
