Fazenda Agricola Augalevada Paco Rego Tinto 2024 is a red wine made from a vineyard located on the right bank of the Miño River, worked by Paco Rego at the age of 77, on schist and red clay soils, which are unusual for this area.
It is a blend of Brancellao and different types of Caiño, with Espadeiro, Sousón, Carabuñeira and other traditional varieties. The grapes are hand-harvested, and approximately 80% of the grapes are hand-destemmed, while the remainder is kept whole.
The wine undergoes a gentle maceration of around 70 days and, after pressing off, is transferred to 400-litre barrels, where it ages for 11 months. Production is limited to around 300 bottles.
