Nanclares Y Prieto O Bocoi Vello Blanco 2023
Nanclares y Prieto O Bocoi Vello Blanco 2023 is a white wine produced by Bodegas Nanclares y Prieto. It is a single-varietal Albariño sourced from three different growers: Finca Ferreira, with granitic soils in Sanxenxo; Finca Salgueira, with clay soils; and Finca Choqueira, with sandy-loam granitic soils in Meaño.
The grapes are foot-trodden and macerated for 48 hours with skins and 100% stems. Whole-cluster pressing follows, and alcoholic fermentation takes place with native yeasts in old Galician chestnut and French oak barrels. Weekly bâtonnage is carried out for three weeks, and the wine is aged on its lees for 7 months before bottling. It is bottled unfined, with only light filtration and moderate doses of sulfur.
