Fazenda Agrícola Augalevada Ollos de Maia Red 2024 is a red wine produced from Caiño Longo, Brancellao, and Caiño da Terra in the Avia Valley, in the village of Riobó, within the Ribeiro appellation.
The vines are planted on a single parcel with xabre (decomposed granite) soils. The vineyards are farmed following biodynamic principles, with a focus on natural winemaking
Harvest is carried out manually, with around 80% of the grapes destemmed by hand and a gentle foot treading of about 30%. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, followed by a long maceration with skins lasting between 60 and 70 days in stainless steel tanks
The wine is then aged in French oak barrels (400L and 600L) for 10 months
It is a fresh and vibrant red wine, bottled without filtration or added sulfites
