Gut Oggau Atanasius 2018 Red Wine
Atanasiusa is a red wine produced by Gut Oggau, an Austrian couple who have been promoting wines from the Burgenland region around the world for over 10 years. It is a single-varietal wine made from Zweigelt, sourced from the Weinland region of Austria.
The vineyard soils are composed of calcareous gravel. A partial destemming is carried out, and alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak vats using native yeasts. Vineyard work follows biodynamic principles, and the winemaking process is completely natural.
The wine is aged for 10 months in large oak barrels ranging from 1000 to 1500 liters. It is an intense and structured red, unfiltered and unstabilized.
