Gerardo Mendez Do Ferreiro Cepas Vellas 2024 White Wine
Gerardo Méndez Do Ferreiro Cepas Vellas 2024 is a white wine produced by Gerardo Méndez in the village of Meaño, located between the Pontevedra and Arousa estuaries.
It is a single-varietal Albariño sourced from vineyards planted on sandy granite soils and trained using the traditional pergola system.
The grapes are fully destemmed and undergo a pre-fermentation maceration before pressing. After pressing, the must rests at cold temperatures to allow the heavier lees to settle.
Once clarified, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. After fermentation, it is aged on its fine lees for 7 months before bottling.
