Château du Nairac 2010 is a sweet white wine produced by Château du Nairac within the A.O.C Barsac, in the Sauternes region of Bordeaux, France.
The wine is a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle, grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), which concentrates sugars and aromas in the berries.
Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, some new, to add structure and complexity without masking the wine’s characteristic freshness and acidity.
Château du Nairac was classified as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in 1855, a historic seal that certifies its quality and prestige within the Sauternes and Barsac region.
