Veronica Romero El Carbonero 2024 Orange Wine
Verónica Romero El Carbonero Orange 2024 is an orange wine produced by Verónica Romero in Los Duques, within the D.O. Utiel-Requena, Valencia, Spain.
The wine is a single-varietal Macabeo sourced from 43-year-old dry-farmed bush vines, organically cultivated on sandy, limestone and marl soils at an altitude of around 700 metres.
The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes. After destemming and crushing, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and remains in contact with its skins for one month. It is then pressed and aged for five months on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks. The wine is bottled without fining, filtration or added sulphur.
