Cascina Tavjin Bandita 2024 Red Wine
Cascina Tavijn Bandita Tinto 2024 is a red wine made by Nadia Verrua in Scurzolengo, Monferrato, in the province of Asti, Piedmont, Italy.
It is a single-varietal Barbera from around 40-year-old vines, organically farmed on sandy and calcareous clay soils.
The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed while keeping the berries intact. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts in closed tanks, with around 15 days of semi-carbonic maceration, avoiding aggressive extraction. The wine is then aged for approximately one year in concrete.
It is bottled unfined and unfiltered, with a minimal addition of sulphur after malolactic fermentation.
