Château du Courlat Cuvée Jean Baptiste Red 2016 is a red wine produced by Château du Courlat within the protected designation of origin A.O.C. Lussac in Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux.
The wine is a blend of Merlot(90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
It undergoes a long maceration of 4 weeks and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. 30% of the wine is aged in new barrels and the remaining 70% in barrels that have held at least two previous wines, for a period of 20 months.
