Château du Tertre 2016 Red Wine

Château du Tertre Red 2016 is a red wine produced by Château du Tertre within the A.O.C. Margaux, in the Médoc on the left bank of the Gironde estuary in Bordeaux.

The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, coming from a single-block vineyard of 52 hectares with deep gravel soils.

Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by 16 to 18 months of aging in French oak barrels, some new, to add structure and complexity without masking the wine’s freshness.

Château du Tertre was classified as a Cinquième Grand Cru Classé in 1855, a historic seal of quality.
