Casa Aurora Poula 2021 Red Wine
Casa Aurora Poula Tinto 2021 is a red wine produced by Bodega Casa Aurora at Germán Blanco’s new winery in the Bierzo region. It is a multi-varietal blend made from Mencía, Garnacha Tintorera, Trousseau, and approximately 40% white grapes (Palomino, Godello, andDoña Blanca).
The wine is crafted from micro-parcels vinified separately, located at altitudes between 700 and 800 meters above sea level in the Boeza Valley, in the village of Albares.
The vineyards sit on diverse soils red clay with southern exposures. The vines are between 70 and 80 years old.
Fermentation takes place in Flextank eggs and amphorae. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrels.
The wine is then aged for approximately 13 months in two used 500-liter French oak barrels.
No herbicides or fertilizers are used in the vineyard
