Envínate Lousas Parcela Seoane Tinto 2020
Envínate Lousas Parcela Seoane Tinto 2020 is a single-vineyard red wine made by Envínate in Amandi, Ribeira Sacra, Galicia. It comes from a vineyard located at around 400 metres above sea level, with a southwest-facing exposure, planted on slate and schist soils.
It is a blend dominated by Mencía (95%), with small amounts of Merenzao, Alicante Bouschet and Brancellao, from approximately 60-year-old vines.
The grapes are hand-harvested and the whole bunches are foot-trodden and fermented whole, spontaneously with native yeasts, in small open-top tanks, with gentle punch-downs during fermentation. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged for 11 months in 500-litre French oak barrels, on its own lees and without racking.
