Envínate Táganan Margalagua 2022 Red Wine
Envínate Táganan Margalagua Tinto 2022 is a red wine made by Envínate in Taganana, Tenerife, Canary Islands. It comes from the Margalagua parcel, located between 100 and 250 metres above sea level, on a very steep slope overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The wine is a field blend of Vijariego Negro, Negramoll, Moscatel Negra, Listán Negro and Listán Gacho. The ungrafted vines grow on volcanic soils.
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with whole bunches and indigenous yeasts in old 500-litre French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 11 months in 228-litre barrels, before being bottled unfiltered with a small addition of SO₂. Around 1,800 bottles were produced in the 2022 vintage.
