Eulogio Pomares Quinta do Estranxeiro finca Penapedre 2020 Red Wine
Eulogio Pomares Quinta do Extranxeiro Penapedre 2020 is a red wine crafted by Eulogio Pomares Zarate in Esperón, between A Cova and Portotide, along the Miño River bank. It is a multi-varietal blend with a majority of red grapes and a small proportion of white varieties, which places it outside any official appellation. (Mencía, Garnacha, Jerez…)
The vineyard is steeply sloped, south-facing, and planted on granite soils. The vines are up to 150 years old. All the grapes are co-fermented in chestnut wood and aged in a 1,500-liter foudre for 18 months.
This is a floral, fruity, and elegant wine. Production is limited to 1,500 bottles.
