Lionel Gauby Raisins de Passage Red 2024 is a red wine produced by Lionel Gauby in the village of Calce, in Occitania, within the Languedoc‑Roussillon region.
The wine is a blend of Syrah (70%) and Grenache (30%), sourced from vineyards planted on decomposed slate soils.
Fermentation takes place with whole clusters, with a maceration lasting 10–15 days. The wine is then aged in a combination of clay amphorae and used barrels, allowing the fruit to remain expressive while maintaining freshness.
This is not produced every vintage, but only when Lionel considers the conditions to be right. It is conceived as a wine for immediacy and easy drinking, focusing on freshness, fluidity, and pure fruit expression.
