Maffrei Barolo Torriglione 2022 Red Wine
Maffei Barolo Torriglione 2022 is a red wine produced by Maffei within the Barolo DOCG, in the Langhe region, Piedmont.
It is a single-varietal Nebbiolo sourced from vines over 25 years old, planted in clay, silt, and sandy soils.
The grapes are hand-harvested and 100% destemmed, followed by a 20-day maceration on the skins with two daily remontages to achieve gentle extraction. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with native yeasts at low temperatures between 26°C and 28°C, and malolactic fermentation is completed.
The wine is aged in cured French oak casks of 500L, aged 4, 5, and 6 years.
