Matthias Orsett Cuvee Damia 2024 Red Wine
Matthias Orsett Cuvée Damia Red 2024 is a red wine produced by Matthias Orsett in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland.
The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from vineyards planted on limestone soils at around 530 meters of altitude in the Swiss village of Miège.
The grapes are fully destemmed, followed by an 8-day maceration with the skins. After fermentation, the wine is aged in a combination of old Burgundy barrels (30%) and stainless steel tanks (70%), preserving both texture and freshness.
The wine is neither stabilized, filtered, nor fined, allowing for a pure and unaltered expression of the fruit and terroir.
