Maupertis Pierres Noires 2023 Red Wine
Jean Maupertuis Les Pierres Noires Red 2023 is a red wine produced by Jean Maupertuis in the Auvergne region of France.
It is a blend of Gamay and Noirfleurien, sourced from old vines planted on volcanic soils of basalt and clay. Warm daytime temperatures combined with cool nights create marked diurnal shifts that enhance grape concentration. The vineyards are farmed with a respectful, biodynamic approach, and the grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness.
The wine undergoes carbonic maceration in stainless steel tanks for three weeks, followed by 12 months of ageing on the lees in stainless steel.
The wine is unfined, unstabilised and unfiltered, preserving its pure expression of terroir.
