Valentina Passalacqua Calcarius Hellen Rosso 2021 Red Wine
Valentina Passalacqua Calcarius Hellen Rosso Tinto 2021 is a red wine made by Valentina Passalacqua in Apricena, in northern Puglia, Italy, as part of the Calcarius project.
It is a single-varietal Nero di Troia, sourced from vineyards planted on the characteristic Kimmeridgian limestone soils of the Gargano area. The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed before undergoing spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks.
The wine remains in stainless steel for approximately 6 months before bottling. It is made with minimal intervention and bottled unfiltered.
