Bodegas Fulcro A Cesteira 2023 White Wine

Fulcro Pescuda Blanco 2024 is a white wine produced by Bodegas Fulcro in the D.O. Rías Baixas, specifically in the Val do Salnés subregion, in the village of Sanxenxo.

It is a single-varietal Albariño sourced from the “A Pedreira” vineyard, a plot characterized by its sandy, granitic soils.

Winemaking begins with direct pressing of the grapes, followed by spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels of 200 and 500 liters. The wine is then aged on its own lees for 5 months in these same barrels, without undergoing malolactic fermentation.

The key difference compared to A Pedreira is this 5-month period of aging in oak, which adds subtle texture and complexity to the wine.

The wine is neither fined nor filtered, preserving its purity and sense of place.
