Viña Somoza As 2 Ladeiras Blanco 2023
Viña Somoza As 2 Ladeiras White 2023 is a white wine produced by Viña Somoza in A Rúa, within the Valdeorras region.
It is a single-varietal Godello sourced from 35-year-old vineyards planted on slate, gneiss, and xabre soils. The vines are located at an average altitude of 500 meters above sea level, with south/southeast exposure.
The grapes are pressed on the same day as harvest. A cold maceration of 24 to 48 hours is carried out, followed by pressing and natural static settling. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts under temperature control in large oak vats and French oak barrels.
The wine is then aged on its lees for 12 months without stirring, enhancing texture and complexity.
