Constantina Sotelo Fonte Cerqueiras 2025 Red Wine
Constantina Sotelo Fonte Cerqueiras Tinto 2025 is a red wine made by Constantina Sotelo in Cambados, Rías Baixas, Galicia.
It is a blend of 60% Espadeiro and 40% Caíño Tinto, sourced from small vineyards of different ages, including one planted before 1900, another in 1940, and others dating from between the 1980s and 2000s. The vineyards are planted on decomposed granite soils.
The grapes are hand-harvested, hand-destemmed and macerated on their skins for one week. Alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts.
Part of the wine finishes fermentation in wood, while the remainder finishes in amphora. Both parts are then kept on their lees and blended seven months after harvest, before being bottled following decanting.
