Domaine Ganevat La Croix Des Batailles 2024 Red Wine
Domaine Ganevat La Croix Des Batailles Red 2024 is a red wine crafted by Jean-François Ganevat in the Jura.
It is a multi-varietal blend of Gamay (sourced from granitic soils in Beaujolais) and Chardonnay (from limestone soils in the Jura). The grapes are purchased, following a négociant approach.
The grapes are foot-trodden and undergo a 26-day semi-carbonic maceration at a controlled temperature of 12–14°C. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and no added sulphites.
After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in large oak vats.
Unfined, unfiltered, and with no stabilization, this is a fresh, vibrant, and expressive wine in line with a minimal-intervention philosophy.
