Daterra Viticultores Camino De La Frontera 2019 White Wine

Daterra Viticultores Camino de la Frontera Blanco is a white wine produced by Daterra Viticultores in the heart of the Val do Bibei. This is a multi-varietal wine made from Malvasía, Verdejo, and Puesta en Cruz. The grapes come from old vines planted on granite soils with sandy marl, in vineyards that, due to their steep and rugged terrain, are recognized under the label of heroic viticulture. These vines are arranged on terraces along the Val do Bibei.

Once harvested, the grapes are destemmed and undergo a 4-day skin maceration before starting spontaneous fermentation. The wine is then aged for 10 months in a combination of chestnut and French oak barrels. It is neither fined nor filtered, and only a minimal amount of sulfur is added for stabilization.
