Les Bottes Rouges Leon Chardonnay 2023 White Wine
Les Bottes Rouges Léon Chardonnay White 2023 is a white wine produced by Jean-Baptiste Ménigoz in Abergement-le-Petit, Arbois (Jura), France.
The wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay, sourced from a vineyard planted in 1956 on clay-loam soils farmed organically.
The grapes are harvested by hand and direct pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in a 3,000-litre foudre, where the wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation. It is then transferred to neutral 440–500-litre oak barrels, where it is aged for 18 months, preserving the purity, freshness, and distinctive mineral expression of Jura Chardonnay.
