Bencze Atlas Pinot Noir 2022 Red Wine

Bencze Atlas Pinot Noir Tinto 2022 is a red wine crafted by István Bencze on the northern shores of Lake Balaton.

It is a single-varietal Pinot Noir sourced from his premium “Rókaluk” parcel. Although the vineyard is relatively young (around 20 years old), it sits at a higher elevation and is one of his favorite sites. The vines are planted on basaltic, volcanic soils, which contribute tension and a distinctive mineral character to the wine.

Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts in open-top vats. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 2,500-liter French oak barrels on its own lees, followed by a minimum of one additional year of bottle aging.

It is bottled बिना fining or filtration and without added sulfites. Vineyard work follows biodynamic farming principles.
