Stromhmeier TLZ Weiss Nº13 2022 White Wine
Strohmeier TLZ Weiss Nº13 White 2022 is a white wine produced by Strohmeier in the Styria region, at the base of the Koralpe, influenced by both the Adriatic and the Alps.
The wine is a blend of 70% Pinot Blanc and 30% Chardonnay from three vineyards — Stainz, Bad Gams, and Lestein — planted on hard gneiss and iron-rich schist soils.
The acronym TLZ stands for Trauben, Liebe und Zeit (Grapes, Love, and Time).
The grapes are fully destemmed and undergo a two-hour skin maceration before spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in used French oak barrels.
The wine is aged for 11 months on its lees in these barrels. Unstabilized, unfiltered, and with no added sulfites.
