Zaráte Balado 2022 White Wine
Zaráte Balado Blanco 2022 is a white wine crafted by Eulogio Pomares for Bodega Zarate. The wine is a single-varietal Albariño, sourced from two small plots enclosed by a granite wall — known in Galician as balado.
The soils are poor in organic matter, yielding well-ripened grapes with low production. Harvesting is done manually, and fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks on its coarse lees, followed by further aging on fine lees after racking.
A broad and textured wine on the palate, with a complex nose.
