Bodegas Cerrón Los Yesares Red 2023

Bodegas Cerrón Los Yesares Red 2023 is a red wine produced by Bodegas Cerrón in the high-altitude area of the D.O. Jumilla, specifically in Fuente-Álamo (Albacete), Spain.

The wine is a blend of 94% Monastrell, 5% Moravia Agria and 1% other traditional local varieties, sourced from old ungrafted vineyards planted between 1942 and 1967 at elevations ranging from 900 to 940 metres above sea level. The vines grow on limestone soils with degraded bedrock, marine fossil sands and flint stones, giving the wine its distinctive mineral character.

Fermentation is carried out spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in 1,000-litre wooden vats. The wine is then aged in used French oak barrels, allowing the fruit and terroir expression to remain at the forefront while adding complexity and structure.
