Phelan Farm Autrement 2022 Red Wine
Phelan Farm Autrement Tinto 2022 is a multi-varietal red wine produced by Phelan Farm in Cambria, California. The blend consists of three grape varieties: Mondeuse (40%), Gamay (40%), and Pinot Noir (20%).
The vineyard soils are particularly distinctive, combining Cambria Felsite (a felsic soil of volcanic origin) with Franciscan Metamorphic rock (a mix of Cretaceous-era stones).
The grapes are fully destemmed, and each variety undergoes separate maceration in stainless steel tanks, followed by spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts.
The wine is aged for 9 months in new oak barrels before bottling.
It is a natural, still red wine, known for its finesse and elegance.
