Verónica Ortega Bruxa 2023 Red Wine
Verónica Ortega Bruxa Tinto 2023 is a red wine that is a plurivarietal blend of Mencía (70%), Palomino, Godello, and Doña Branca, sourced from century-old vineyards in Cobrana, at around 750 meters above sea level.
Approximately 75% of the grapes are fermented whole cluster, and fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, co-fermenting the white and red varieties in a gentle maceration lasting 5 weeks.
The vineyard soils are composed of decomposed slate and limestone, providing mineral notes and freshness to the wine.
The wine undergoes 17 months of aging in a combination of 300-liter French oak barrels and 700-liter clay amphorae, enhancing both structure and terroir expression.
