Alex&Maria Koppitsch Aeon 2022 White Wine
Alex & Maria Koppitsch Aeon Blanco 2022 is a natural white wine made by Alex and Maria Koppitsch in Neusiedl am See, in the Burgenland region of Austria.
It is made from 50% Grüner Veltliner and 50% Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), sourced from old vines in two plots located in Seefeld, with a combined area of 0.27 hectares. The vines were planted in 1978 and 1980, respectively.
The grapes are hand-harvested. Each variety is vinified separately through whole-cluster fermentation for six days, followed by traditional foot treading and a further four days of skin maceration. The wines then ferment and age in used oak barrels until bottling in February 2024. No sulphites are added, and the wine is neither fined nor filtered.
