Tanca Nica Terra Forte White 2025
Tanca Nica Terra Forte White 2025 is a white wine produced by Tanca Nica on the island of Pantelleria, Sicily, Italy.
The wine is a single-varietal Muscat of Alexandria (Zibibbo) sourced from two historic vineyards planted in 1930 and 1948 on red sandy soils formed from decomposed basalt and obsidian, a type of terroir locally known as Terra Forte.
The grapes are harvested by hand and the two parcels are vinified separately. After a gentle pressing, fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The wine undergoes a 10-day skin maceration in stainless steel tanks.
The wine is then aged for 6 months in a combination of neutral vessels and chestnut barrels, adding complexity and depth while preserving the varietal character.
