Tanca Nica Bugeber 2023 White Wine
Tanca Nica Bugeber Bianco 2023 is a white wine produced by Tanca Nica in the locality of Rukia, Pantelleria, Sicily.
The wine is a single-varietal Zibibbo sourced from a vineyard planted on red sandy soils, decomposed basalt and obsidian, over a basalt bedrock. This 100-year-old vineyard is located in the Bugeber area, northeast-facing at 300 meters of altitude.
The grapes are hand-destemmed with minimal maceration, foot-trodden, and undergo spontaneous fermentation with no added SO₂. The wine is aged in 54L demijohns and bottled without fining or filtration. Since 2019, they have bottled their four Zibibbo “Grand Crus” separately—this is one of them. Only 132 bottles per Cru are produced.
