Oriol Artigas El Rall 2021 Red Wine
Oriol Artigas Sammay Red 2023 is a red wine produced by Oriol Artigas in Alella, northeast of Barcelona. A local producer focused on native varieties, crafting wines with identity and a strong sense of place.
The wine is a blend of Merlot (50%), Garnacha (20%), Syrah (20%), Mataró, and Sumoll, sourced from vineyards planted on granitic soils.
Vinification begins with destemming and a 4-day maceration with the skins, followed by direct pressing. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in fiberglass and stainless steel tanks.
The wine then rests for 11 months in stainless steel tanks (80%) and used French oak barrels (20%).
It is bottled without fining, filtration, or stabilization, and with no added sulfites.
